Univar® Prist® Hi-Flash Hi-Flo™ anti-icing aviation fuel additive is clear in colour and depresses the freezing point of water in aircraft fuel. It has a boiling point of 193 to 194 degrees C and a flash point of 83.9 to 91 degrees C. The product has a specific gravity of 1.023 at 20 degrees C and a vapour pressure of 0.19 to 0.25 millimetres Hg at 20 to 25 degrees C. This fuel additive in mild aromatic odour, has an auto-ignition temperature of 215 degrees C. It eliminates the growth of microorganisms that are present in aircraft fuel systems. The fuel additive comes in a 20-ounce aerosol can.

Directions for Use

  1. Use can upright and start flow of Prist® after refuelling begins and stop flow of Prist® a moment before refuelling stops.
  2. Place clip with tubing into fuel nozzle.
  3. To start flow, press actuator down fully. To stop flow, tilt to side and return to normal position.
  4. When finished spraying, clear spray valve by inverting can and spraying for 5 seconds.
  5. Caution: Assure that Prist® is directed into and blends with flowing fuel from refuelling nozzle. Do not allow concentrated Prist® Fuel Additive to contact coated interior of fuel tank or coated surface of aircraft.

REFER TO AIRCRAFT OR ENGINE MANUFACTURER AS TO THE SUITABILITY OF USE.

Instructions provided in aircraft and reciprocating engine operating manuals regarding the use of manufacturer recommended carburetor icing preventative measures such as carburetor heaters must be strictly followed.
