A Cleco pin is a spring-loaded fastener that fits into a pre-drilled hole, clamping two metal sheets tightly together. It acts like a temporary rivet, holding the material in place while adjustments are made. As you refine your fit, simply remove and reinsert the Cleco to maintain alignment. These fasteners are installed and removed using a dedicated pair of Cleco pliers—handy tools that you'll find yourself using frequently.

Directions for Use

Position one panel over the other where you want to join them.
Drill a hole through both sheets at the desired location, matching the hole size to the cleco you’re using (e.g. use a 1/8″ drill bit for 1/8″ clecos, or a 3/16″ drill bit for 3/16″ clecos).
Squeeze the Cleco pliers to compress a Cleco fastener.
Insert the fastener into the hole and release the pliers to lock it in place.
Repeat as needed along the joint.
To remove, use the pliers to compress and extract the Cleco.
